Infrastructure team leaves global for Aussie firm
A local firm has recruited a four-strong infrastructure and projects team from a global competitor.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth announced last week that it has appointed Joshua Paffey (pictured) as a partner in its infrastructure and projects practice in Brisbane. He joins with a team of three special counsel: Justin O’Callaghan, Scott Francis and Jennifer Barrett.
“Joshua is a first-class infrastructure and projects lawyer with extensive experience,” said Corrs partner and CEO John Denton AO.
“He is exceptionally client-focused and his commitment to providing clients with the very best strategic solutions and outcomes is well-aligned with Corrs’ values.
“We are delighted to be welcoming Joshua and his team to Corrs. Their combined experience of more than 60 years will be of tremendous benefit to our clients and their focus complements the strength and offering of our existing projects and infrastructure team.”
Corrs said in a statement that the Brisbane-based team will work on projects throughout Australia and Asia. Mr Paffey has particular experience as an adviser to Korean companies on projects in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
In March, Norton Rose Fulbright responded to speculation over the exits of several high-profile partners, including Mr Paffey.
