The Australian firm has welcomed Rachel Pie (pictured) to its Brisbane office, effective immediately.

Ms Pie brings over 20 years’ experience to her new role, having worked on numerous front-end construction and major projects. She has advised on matters affecting the rail and transportation, energy and mining, building and construction, and infrastructure sectors.

Commenting on the firm’s most recent appointment, Victor Borzillo, head of CBP’s Queensland construction and engineering team, said the addition of Ms Pie comes as the team works to bolster the practice nationally.

“We are very pleased that Rachel is joining our growing team,” Mr Borzillio said.

“She brings significant experience and expertise which will be of great benefit to not just our Brisbane team, but to our construction and engineering practice nationally.”

Meanwhile, Ms Pie said: “Colin Biggers & Paisley is well-known for its in-depth knowledge within the construction and engineering industry”.

“I am delighted to make this move and to work with such a well-respected team.”

Ms Pie’s appointment comes after property partner Lisa Lane joined the company in February this year.

In November 2016, CBP also hired Duane Keighran and Dalvin Chien as a property partner and special counsel, respectively.
