Global appoints new Brisbane special counsel
A global law firm has announced the appointment of a new special counsel to its Brisbane office.

Effective immediately, Tom Ritchie will join DLA Piper’s litigation and regulatory practice in the firm’s Brisbane office. He joins DLA Piper from McCullough Robertson.
He has also advised clients on significant corporate governance and compliance matters.
“Tom has a very strong reputation with clients, the profession and the Queensland bar, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the firm,” DLA Piper litigation and regulatory location head in Brisbane, Liam Prescott, said.
“His experience in complex contractual disputes and government prosecutions will be a highly-valued addition to our Queensland and Australian litigation and regulatory groups, and will complement our already strong practice.”
Mr Ritchie said he is excited to contribute further growth to DLA Piper’s litigation and regulatory practice.
“I’m excited to be joining DLA Piper, and look forward to working with colleagues across the firm’s practice groups in Brisbane and throughout the global network, to help build on the growth achieved by the litigation and regulatory team to date,” he said.
