Disputes partner leaves global for new Melbourne post
A former executive committee member at a global firm has left his workplace of 16 years to join the partnership of another commercial firm in Melbourne.

Tom Jarvis (pictured) has jumped ship from Norton Rose Fulbright to join the Melbourne office of Johnson Winter & Slattery.
Specialising in competition law and commercial litigation, he has more than 25 years’ experience.
Mr Jarvis has acted in both commercial and civil disputes for government, corporations and statutory authorities over the course of his career.
He has represented clients from the construction, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, primary industry and transport sectors.
Speaking of his new role, Mr Jarvis said he was pleased to be joining a highly regarded firm.
“I am excited and energised by the opportunity to join such a strongly independent and highly regarded Australian firm and in particular by the depth, experience and geographic spread of the JWS dispute resolution practice,” he said.
JWS managing partner Peter Slattery described the credentials Mr Jarvis brought to the firm as “first rate”.
“We are excited to welcome Tom to our firm. His first rate dispute resolution and competition credentials will add to our already strong litigation and competition capability and broaden our offering to Melbourne-based clients,” Mr Slattery said.
