Paul O’Donnell joins Hall & Wilcox as a partner in the firm’s projects team. His new role will see him focus on the energy and resources sector.

Mr O’Donnell has extensive experience in the development of energy projects and acquisitions, and energy trading and regulation. His clients include companies from throughout the energy sector in Australia and internationally.

Prior to joining Hall & Wilcox, Mr O’Donnell was a partner at HWL Ebsworth. Before this, he was general counsel for Novatec Solar, based in Germany, and a partner in Clayton Utz’s energy and resources team.

Caroline Raw was also recently welcomed to the firm, taking on the role of senior associate in Hall & Wilcox’s corporate and commercial team.

Ms Raw brings to her new role over 11 years’ experience advising public companies and funds in a range of corporate transactions, corporate governance and compliance matters.

Her experience includes roles as in-house counsel and group company secretary for ASX-listed company, BlackWall Limited. Prior to this, she was a senior associate at Bartier Perry.

Hall & Wilcox managing partner Tony Macvean welcomed both appointments, saying they would be a key asset to the firm’s Sydney practice.

“Paul brings a wealth of experience to our national energy and projects capability generally, while Caroline adds further senior depth to the Sydney corporate and commercial team,” Mr Macvean said.

“Both Paul and Caroline’s appointments form part of the firm’s broader strategy to continue to build its commercial footprint across all offices.”
