National welcomes two new partners
Mills Oakley has announced the appointment of two new partners in its Brisbane and Perth offices.

Tony Lalor has joined Mills Oakley’s Brisbane corporate advisory team.
Throughout his career he has formed a diverse client base, which includes the mining, telecommunications, financial services, agribusiness and automotive sectors.
Meanwhile, Brendan Taylor is set to join Mills Oakley’s Perth disputes team.
Mr Taylor specialises in construction and corporate disputes, regulatory investigations and prosecutions, and media and defamation matters.
Mr Taylor joins the firm from Taylor Olivier (formerly Rockwell Olivier). He has represented ASX-listed and private companies across Australia in construction disputes and arbitrations.
Mr Taylor has also acted for directors, shareholders and companies in corporate disputes and investigations, administrative actions and prosecutions by regulatory agencies – predominantly ASIC – and law enforcement bodies.
Mills Oakley CEO John Nerurker said the two new partner hires are the latest example of the firm’s ability to attract and retain sought-after talent.
“We were one of many firms to express interest in Brendan when he left Rockwell Olivier back in 2015,” Mr Nerurker said.
“It has been a long process, but we see Brendan’s decision to join Mills Oakley as a real endorsement of what we have achieved in the west since launching in Perth nearly two years ago.
“Over half our partnership has joined us from tier-one firms and Tony fits well with the Mills Oakley value proposition of top-tier expertise, combined with the value of a mid-size firm.”
Mr Taylor commenced his new role with Mills Oakley in early October, while Mr Lalor will begin at the firm later this month.

Emma Musgrave (née Ryan) is the managing editor, professional services at Momentum Media.
Emma has worked for Momentum Media since 2015, including five years spent as the editor of the company's legal brand - Lawyers Weekly. Throughout her time at Momentum, she has been responsible for breaking some of the biggest stories in corporate Australia. In addition, she has produced exclusive multimedia and event content related to the company's respective brands and audiences.
Prior to joining Momentum Media, Emma worked in breakfast radio, delivering news to the Central West region of NSW, before taking on a radio journalist role at Southern Cross Austereo, based in Townsville, North Queensland.
She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree from Charles Sturt University.
