International M&A specialist joins Australian practice
King & Wood Mallesons has announced it has appointed a new special counsel to its Sydney M&A practice.

Matt Egerton-Warburton (pictured) brings with him extensive experience both in Australia and overseas, advising on international acquisitions and disposals.
Mr Egerton-Warburton joins KWM Sydney from Withersworldwide, where he was a partner in the firm’s corporate and commercial group in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he was employed as a counsel by KWM Hong Kong.
Mike Barker, KWM M&A managing partner, said he is delighted to welcome Mr Egerton-Warburton back to the firm’s network.
“We are thrilled to welcome Matt back to the firm. He has strong existing relationships across our regional offices and is very highly regarded,” he said.
“His ability to practise Australian, Hong Kong and US law, combined with his impressive track record on international M&A and securities transactions, will complement our existing offering to clients and deepen our cross-border execution capability.”
