K&L Gates has announced that Louise Arminak (pictured) has joined the firm’s Sydney office as special counsel, bringing with her extensive experience in advising on acquisitions and disposals, commercial and retail leasing, property due diligence and general commercial agreements.

Throughout her career, Ms Arminak has worked across a variety of legal roles.

She most recently held the position of special counsel at Gadens. Prior to this she was a lawyer at Gilbert + Tobin and special counsel at Geoff Osborne & Associates.

Ms Arminak has also been employed as deputy general counsel at NSW Maritime.

Ms Arminak’s appointment follows the arrival of real estate partner Diane Skapinker and special counsel Vicki Aron.

Earlier this year, K&L Gates also announced the partner appointment of Ayman Guirguis, who left Corrs Chambers Westgarth’s competition and regulatory group to take on the role.
