US arbitration lawyer joins national
A national firm has brought on board a former Assistant US Attorney with recent experience in the South Korean market.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth announced that Mel Schwing would join its construction group in Melbourne as a special counsel.
He has previously worked as an Assistant US Attorney in Tennessee, as well as at Washington-based law firm O’Melveny & Myers.
His expertise includes international arbitration, cross-border litigation, government investigations, and strategic counselling, particularly in matters involving complex scientific and technological issues.
Corrs CEO John W.H. Denton said Mr Schwing had "extensive experience in the international arbitration space".
"His appointment further strengthens Corrs’ position as having the most experienced and best international arbitration team in the Australian market," he said.
The firm also announced the promotion of two lawyers to the partnership: James Morley in the corporate advisory group and Simon Reid in the banking and finance team.
Mr Morley specialises in complex Australian and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, having a decade of experience both in Australia and at a magic circle firm in London.
Having joined Corrs in 2011, Mr Reid's area of specialisation is debt financings for acquisitions, projects and real estate financings.
Mr Denton congratulated both new partners and said the firm "looks forward to their continued contributions".
