Ms Tran (pictured) has joined K&L Gates Sydney office from Shelston IP.

She has 14 years' experience in IP litigation and her practice has predominantly involved representing clients in patent infringement and revocation proceedings before the Federal Court of Australia, and in patent prosecution and opposition matters in the Australian Patent Office.

She has also acted in a number of trademark infringement and opposition proceedings and has acted for range of clients including major companies in the pharmaceuticals, medical devices, tobacco, gaming, food, consumer products and entertainment industries.

The K&L Gates IP team in Sydney also recently welcomed Simone Mitchell and Naomi Pearce-Coates.

However, the firm has recently lost partner Stephen Thompson and special counsel Richard Arrage to Colin Biggers & Paisley, and special counsel Deepesh Daya to Nexus Law Group.
