Matthew Smith, who works out of the Brisbane office, is the national practice group leader for workplace and has previously served on the firm’s executive committee.

He takes the seat on the board vacated by Ben Dube, who has moved to the executive committee and taken on the national government group leader role.

Sparke Helmore chairman of partners Mark Hickey welcomed Mr Smith’s appointment to the board.

"I congratulate Matthew on his appointment and look forward to working with him as a member of the board in driving the firm's growth strategy and achieving our vision," he said.
