Insurance partner swaps between globals
Norton Rose Fulbright has taken insurance lawyer Jacques Jacobs from another global firm.

Mr Jacobs (pictured) has left DLA Piper to join Norton Rose Fulbright in Sydney.
He has advised on complex coverage issues with a particular focus on D&O, warranty and indemnity, management liability and financial institutions claims.
Mr Jacobs also regularly acts on professional indemnity claims, focusing on finance professionals such as accountants; financial planners; and mortgage, stock and insurance brokers.
Wayne Spanner, Norton Rose Fulbright's managing partner in Australia, said: “Our clients, as well as our national insurance and litigation teams, will benefit greatly from the addition of Jacques to our partnership.”
He continued: “His close ties to financial institutions and knowledge of emerging issues in the technology and risk space will further our support for a range of industries.”
This month, Norton Rose Fulbright has also appointed partner Ellen Thomas from Baker & McKenzie, while losing lawyers Darryl Smith, Steven Donley and Erica Leaman to Clyde & Co, partner Simon Johnson to Corrs Chambers Westgarth, and partner Con Boulougouris to Minter Ellison.
