Sina Kassra (pictured left) and Florian Ammer (pictured right) have both been promoted to partner in Piper Alderman’s Sydney office, bringing the firm's total number of partners nationally to 51.
He specialises in the areas of M&A, capital raisings as well as corporate and commercial advisory matters. He has acted on a large number of high-profile matters in the energy and resources and technology sectors.
Mr Ammer joined the firm as a lawyer in 2006 and has now been promoted to partner in the dispute resolution practice area.
Mr Ammer frequently advises and has acted for parties in relation to contract disputes, actions involving alleged breaches of the Competition and Consumer Act and the Corporations Act, as well as representative and class action proceedings. He also advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters and obligations under the Privacy Act.
Three lawyers have also been promoted to senior associates: real estate lawyer Adam Rinaldi in Adelaide, corporate lawyer Kimberley Levi in Sydney and infrastructure and projects lawyer Pei Yau in Melbourne.
Piper Alderman chairman of partners Gordon Grieve said: “Sina’s appointment reaches another milestone for the Sydney office, as he is the first Sydney graduate to progress through to partnership.”
He continued: “Both Sina and Florian have quickly come through the ‘ranks’ and, along with other recent lateral hires, we are excited about this new generation of talent and future leaders.”
