ACC appoints first new president after merger
The Association of Corporate Counsel Australia has appointed a new president to replace outgoing leader Adrian Goss.

At the ACC annual general meeting last week, Gillian Wong was appointed to the role of national president for the in-house lawyer lobby group.
Currently, Ms Wong is manager for legal and deputy company secretary at gold producer St Barbara Limited.
Her previous roles include senior legal positions at National Australia Bank and senior associate at King & Wood Mallesons.
ACC Australia was created in July through a merger between existing local group the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (ACLA) and global network the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Mr Goss stayed on in his role in the new entity until the AGM last week.
According to Ms Wong, improving diversity will be a top priority for the ACC under her leadership.
“I believe in-house lawyers have an important role to play in championing diversity and driving change at the most senior levels of our profession,” Ms Wong said.
Mr Goss congratulated Ms Wong, saying the association had an “exciting future ahead”.
