The appointment of former King & Wood Mallesons special counsel Jennifer Turner to McCullough Robertson has brought the firm's female partner ratio to one in five.
Ms Turner has experience in dispute resolution for construction, engineering and infrastructure projects across Australia.
She is the newest partner to join McCullough Robertson’s five-year-old Sydney office, which now has 20 partners.
Dominic McGann, McCullough Robertson’s chairman of partners, said he was pleased to be increasing the gender diversity at the senior level.
“McCullough Robertson is committed to gender equity. It’s critical for achieving sustainable business performance in a dynamic and changing world,” Mr McGann said.
“Jennifer’s addition to our firm takes the number of female partners to 20 per cent. While we still have a long way to go to achieve parity, we are certainly heading in the right direction.”
McCullough Robertson has also recruited other partners this year, with KWM construction partner Adam Wallwork joining the firm in August 2014.
