CBP steals three from rivals

Colin Biggers & Paisley has appointed three new partners from Norton Rose Fulbright, Minter Ellison and a boutique.

Damien Butler (pictured) has left Norton Rose Fulbright to join Colin Biggers & Paisley's restructuring and insolvency team in its Brisbane office.

Mr Butler has experience acting for restructuring and insolvency professionals and financial institutions, including a number of the major banks, and conducts litigation and mediations for his clients.

Richard Anderson has left Minter Ellison to join Colin Biggers & Paisley's property and development team in its Melbourne office.

Mr Anderson has extensive experience in real estate and project law, with expertise in major commercial projects, including property development, infrastructure, urban development and local government, as well as hotel acquisitions and disposals.

Victor Borzillo has joined Colin Biggers & Paisley's construction and engineering team in its Brisbane office after being a director of his own firm.

Mr Borzillo has experience in structuring major projects including preparing, negotiating and administering contracts as well as resolving complex disputes and claims. He also has significant project-based experience in delivering and commissioning major marine, mining, manufacturing and water infrastructure projects.

Colin Biggers & Paisley managing partner Dunstan de Souza said: “The appointment of these three partners signifies an important milestone for Colin Biggers & Paisley, considerably enhancing our capabilities in Brisbane and Melbourne.”
