Minter Ellison adds insurance specialist in Sydney
An insurance and corporate risk specialist has left Colin Biggers & Paisley to join Minter Ellison’s insurance team as a partner.

Kemsley Brennan spent more than 18 years as a vice-president at the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies before shifting to Colin Biggers & Paisley, and now Minter Ellison.
He has experience in directors’ and officers’ liability, venture capital, professional indemnity for financial institutions and advisers, fidelity and crime, employment practices, kidnap and ransom, general liability, product liability and product recall.
Minter Ellison's insurance and corporate risk business unit head Peter Coats said: “Kemsley's experience across the Australian, Asian, US, UK and European financial services industry gained during his time with Chubb will be particularly valuable to our client base.”
He continued: “He is an excellent addition to the our team in Sydney and his strengths dovetail well with our strong Melbourne and Brisbane financial lines practices, as well as our strengthening practice in Asia being spearheaded out of our Perth office.”
Minter Ellison has been appointing lawyers across the country recently, with Kate Chinnery joining its Adelaide office, Karl Blake joining its Melbourne office and John King joining its Perth office.
