Hall & Wilcox appoints a big 4 firm partner
A former partner at one of the big four accounting firms has been appointed as the head of Hall & Wilcox’s tax practice.

Peter Murray (pictured) has left his role as partner at KPMG to join Hall & Wilcox’s tax practice, which focuses on corporate tax including tax consolidation, corporate restructures, M&A, tax dispute management and resolution and international tax.
Hall & Wilcox managing partner Tony Macvean said: “We wish to consolidate the firm’s private/mid-market tax strength as well as increase the breadth and depth of the firm’s corporate tax practice.”
He added: “Peter is a leader of the tax profession and we think he will be a valuable addition as the firm continues to grow its presence nationally.”
Senior associate John Boyagi has made the move from KPMG with Mr Murray.
In June this year a team of 35 legal professionals left Sparke Helmore Lawyers to join Hall & Wilcox, following a team of six who made the same move in April.
