Clutz partner appointed to Federal Court
A commercial litigator from Clayton Utz has been named to the Federal Court bench.

Attorney-general George Brandis announced Brigitte Markovic would be sworn in at the court on 24 August 2015.
Ms Markovic has been at Clayton Utz for the entirety of her legal career, joining shortly after graduating from the University of New South Wales with Bachelor degrees in commerce and law.
She is currently a partner in Clayton Utz’s commercial litigation practice. She represented ASIC before the HIH Royal Commission and in an action against the directors of James Hardie, acted for the liquidators of HIH, and established the firm's relationship with the Department of Immigration.
From 2010 to 2014, she was managing partner of the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution department. She was also responsible for establishing the firm's federal government practice, working out of Canberra from 1997 to 2000.
Chief executive partner Rob Cutler said Clayton Utz was "extremely proud" of Ms Markovic's achievement.
"Brigitte's appointment evidences her standing as a legal practitioner in Australia," he said.
