Aus firm head joins International Chamber of Commerce exec
The CEO of a major national firm has been appointed to the executive board of the global business organisation.

John W.H. Denton, head of Corrs Chambers Westgarth, is the only Australian CEO to sit on the International Chamber of Commerce’s executive.
“This is an important time for ICC as we work to ensure that business interests are represented in key international processes – from the reform of the international tax system through to the UN’s sustainable development agenda,” he said.
“John’s skills and expertise will be a huge asset for us as we work to shape global and regional policies that work with the private sector to deliver sustainable growth.”
Mr Denton suggested Corrs would benefit from his involvement with the organisation, which has 6.5 million members in over 130 countries.
“Corrs is well positioned to advance the competitiveness of our clients and their success on a global stage,” he said.
Mr Denton will serve on the executive board from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2018.
