Veteran Clutz partner defects to national rival
HWL Ebsworth has recruited an infrastructure partner who has spent the past 28 years in the Clayton Utz partnership.

Michael Tuckfield (pictured) has joined HWL’s infrastructure and major projects team in Melbourne. His wife, Clutz consultant Paula Campbell Tuckfield, is also moving across to HWL.
Over almost three decades, he and Ms Tuckfield have advised governments, financiers and sponsors in relation to privately financed and operated infrastructure in Australia and internationally, with a particular focus on Indonesia.
Mr Tuckfield is the third Clutz partner defection this month. The national firm also lost David Cowling, an insolvency expert, to King & Wood Mallesons and banking and finance partner Brad Allen to DibbsBarker’s Sydney office.
HWL has 12 partners and 29 lawyers specialising in infrastructure, projects and construction nationally.
