NRF Australia nabs B&F partner
Norton Rose Fulbright has recruited an Indonesia-based banking & finance lawyer to its Australian partnership.

Nadia Soraya (pictured) has joined as a partner of NRF in Australia, but will remain in Jakarta and work from the firm’s associate office, Susandarini & Partners.
She handles finance and corporate transactions, including project finance, general banking and finance, and mergers and acquisitions. She has a particular focus on the power and natural resources sectors, where she has advised on significant project financings.
NRF’s Australian managing partner Wayne Spanner said the appointment of Ms Soraya was a further investment in the Indonesian market.
“Nadia’s practice dovetails with three of our six global areas of sector focus – financial institutions, energy, and infrastructure, mining and commodities,” Mr Spanner said.
Ms Soraya’s appointment follows the April hire of corporate partner Benny Bernarto, who is also based in NRF’s Jakarta office.
The firm also recently announced the selection of a new global chair, Ken Stewart, a Dallas-based corporate partner.
