Former global head of mining at DLA Piper Robert Edel (pictured) has taken the position of energy and resources partner at KWM.

Mr Edel has experience advising governments and corporations across Africa, Asia, Central and Latin America and Australia on mining, energy and infrastructure projects.

“Mr Edel is highly regarded for his ability to execute complex cross-border projects,” said managing partner of projects, real estate and the China practice Scott Gardiner.

“His deep sector knowledge and broad technical expertise will be an asset to the firm and our clients,” said managing partner of Australia Sue Kench.

KWM recently poached M&A partner Heath Lewis from Clayton Utz and industrial relations and employment law partner Jamie Wells from Allens.
