Ted Stewart (pictured) has joined Russells as a team leader in Brisbane. The firm also has an office in Sydney.

Mr Stewart’s legal career began in 1986 when he joined Brisbane firm Flower & Hart. He was admitted as a partner in 1990, specialising in hospitality law and acting for hotel owners in Queensland.

He left Flower & Hart in 1997 to take a series of executive roles, including CEO of his family’s hotel and hospitality business, Stewarts Hotels.

In 2005, Mr Stewart negotiated the sale of the hotel chain. He then established Stewarts Wine Co and managed the operation of a number of retail outlets until earlier this year.
