HFW names new captain

Holman Fenwick Willan has appointed a new managing partner from the firm’s shipping practice.

Marcus Bowman (pictured) will take up his new role on April 1, succeeding current managing partner George Eddings, who will return to full-time legal practice and business development.

Mr Bowman is a partner in the firm’s shipping group in London. Last year, he was appointed president of the UK Chamber of Shipping.

Mr Eddings, who has been managing partner for two years, has driven the restructure of HFW to one that is focused on shipping, energy, trade, aviation and insurance.
