Last Wednesday night the Victorian Women Lawyers and the Women Barristers Association held their annual meet-and-greet networking event in Melbourne.
Female barristers Michelle Sharpe and Jane Forsyth and solicitors Rosemary Peavey, Christine Melis, Caitlin Tierney, and Kaajal Fox joined other models walking down the catwalk.
The evening was a networking event aimed at introducing women barristers to women solicitors, and a list of attendees was provided at the conclusion of the evening. Attendees were encouraged to bring along pre-loved suits and accessories to donate to Fitted for Work, a service that supports disadvantaged women trying to get jobs by providing clothing, presentation, and interview skills.
Adele Bernard spoke to the gathering on behalf of the principal sponsor for the event, LexisNexis. g
