Firms not budging on practice status quo
The law firm revolution is not upon us, and the economy won't change firms...
THE law firm revolution is not upon us, and firms are not doing anything radical to prepare for the ongoing financial crisis, according to 208 law firm leaders across the US.
The partners and chief executives were responding to an Altman Weil survey, Law Firms in Transition, conducted in March and April this year.
“Law firms are not doing anything dramatic and are not planning to do anything dramatic [in response to the economic downturn],” said Eric Seeger, and Altman Weil consultant.
“That contradicts some of what we hear from their corporate clients who are demanding budgets, fixed fees, and discounts,” he said.
