A new partnership between DLA Piper and a NewLaw service provider will allow the firm to scale its Australian headcount as needed.
DLA Piper has teamed up with Lawyers On Demand to create a flexible lawyer pool that will be available to support the firm’s Australian practices.
Lawyers in the pool, which will include DLA Piper alumni, will be managed by Lawyers On Demand, which recently announced a merger with Australian services provider AdventBalance.
DLA Piper global CEO Simon Levine said the new capability would allow the firm to offer clients “the same high-quality, innovative service wherever they do business”.
LOD co-founder Jonathan Brenner said the company was “delighted but not surprised” to have expanded the partnership with DLA Piper after such a short period.
“We’ve taken NewLaw global and, in doing so, have created the perfect storm,” he said. “Watch this space for more to come."
