The director of the South Australian Legal Services Commission, Hamish Gilmore, has announced he will retire at the end of July.

The director of the South Australian Legal Services Commission, Hamish Gilmore, has announced he will retire at the end of July.
Throughout his career Gilmore has served in a number of state public sector departments, including the Public Buildings Department, the Public Service Board, State Treasury, the Courts Administration Authority and the Attorney-General’s Department.
Gilmore’s focus has been on enabling the South Australian public affordable access to justice and the legal system. He has also encouraged and fostered growth in the area of legal education.
“It has been a privilege to have held this position for the past 13 years and to have worked with such a dedicated team of lawyers and support staff,” said Gilmore. “Also the support of committed commissioners throughout my tenure has been greatly appreciated.”
