Justice Jacobson will split his time between the Norfolk Island and his current office as a judge of the Federal Court of Australia, which he has been serving in since 2002.

“It is with pleasure that I announce Justice Jacobson’s appointment,” Attorney-General Philip Ruddock said. “I look forward to his further valuable contribution to the law and to the Norfolk Island community in his new capacity as a member of the Island’s Court.”
