McCullough Robertson has been commended by the Australian Legal Sector Alliance (AusLSA) for reducing its total carbon emissions by 4.2 per cent this year, despite an increase in staff.
It was one of three firms of the eight executive members to reduce its overall emissions and emissions per head.
"While the overall trends show an increase in emissions, we are pleased that we have not followed that trend," McCullough Robertson CEO David Goener said.
The firmdecreased its paper consumption per head by 25.3; its business travel carbon emissions by 9 per cent; and its electricity per head by 2.8 per cent.
Earlier this month, the firm installed a range of new printers that are intended to further reduce paper consumption through intelligent printing capabilities.
"By making a smaller footprint we are looking forward to a bigger future," Goener said.
