The results of the latest Lawyers Weekly poll have revealed that the majority of legal professionals believe social media, such as Twitter or Facebook, has nothing to offer their career.

The majority of the 186 respondents (35 per cent) said social media has no link to their employment or career.

While 20 per cent said it's is something they rarely or never use, another 20 per cent also said social media is a useful tool for boosting their professional profile.

Just 12 per cent believe social media is a great way to network with industry peers and another 12 per cent see it as a risk and are fearful they'll regret the information they share.

We're evolving — and so should your insights. Heads up — Lawyers Weekly is going premium from 1 May for just $5 a month. Stay informed without missing a beat. More information coming soon.
