University of Adelaide law graduate Eleanor Mitchell was awarded a Menzies Memorial Scholarship in Law last night (24 November) in Melbourne.
In the past, Mitchell has volunteered with Amnesty International and completed an internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. She has also been a presenter and producer for community radio station Radio Adelaide, and won the University Medal at the University of Adelaide in 2009.
Each year the Menzies Foundation provides scholarships for graduates to pursue studies in the allied health sciences, engineering, law and medical research, with nine such scholarships awarded this year.
Joining Mitchell as a Menzies scholar this year was Melbourne lawyer Luke Raffin who won a Menzies Scholarship earlier this year to Harvard University to study for a Master of Public Policy at the Kennedy School of Government.
