The University of Queensland (UQ) has won a national competition to find Australia's most popular law revue.
A total of 4,226 votes were cast by Facebook users in one month, with UQ's 'Hunger State of Mind' video (to the tune of Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys)topping the poll with 529 votes.
The black and white production, depicting the hunger of UQ law students and the multitude of (less than appetising) options available, outdid the University of Newcastle's take off - yet laughably accurate portrayal - of law school lectures, as well as Adelaide University's video which merged Jersey Shore (and many expletives) with the clerkship experience.
Timothy Warwick, the spokesperson for UQ team which will be presented with a cheque for $5,000 by legalsuper next week, said it was an honour to win against such great competition.
"We look forward to using the prize money to make the show bigger and better next year," he said.
