Former lawyer and 2010 MasterChef winner Adam Liaw has announced the location of his new restaurant, which he hopes to open in August this year.
While the exact location of the restaurant is still under wraps, Liaw told the Sydney Morning Herald that an architect is working on the interior and he and his business partner, former Tetsuya's chef Matthew Crabbe, are getting ready for action.
In an interview following his MasterChef win last year, Liaw told Lawyers Weekly he has not entirely ruled out an eventual return to a career in law.
"I definitely haven't ruled out going back to the law in the future, but at the moment there are all these new doors opening up for me and I think I owe it to myself to explore those," he said.
Liaw, who began his legal career at Finlaysons in Adelaide before moving on to Kelly & Co, released his first book, Two Asian Kitchens, earlier this month.
