Changing jobs or finding an entirely new career are at the top of the priorities list for almost half the respondents to a recent Lawyers Weekly survey on what lawyers want in 2011.

Forty-two per cent of respondents to the survey said that 2011 would be the year in which they would either look for a new job (29 per cent) or look for a new career (13 per cent).

Topping the priorities list, however, is money, with 36 per cent of respondents saying that 2011 will be the year of securing a pay rise.

Fourteen per cent of respondents said they would be on the hunt for a promotion, while only 8 per cent said they will be happy to maintain the status quo.
