The College of Law and The Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (ACLA) have today (9 November) announced the launch of an in-house practice Masters degree, commencing in March 2011.

As the latest addition to The College of Law's suite of applied law programs, the course is designed to focus on the practical skills needed by private practitioners wanting to transition into an in-house role, as well as to assist those already working in-house to expand their skills.

The only course of its type in Australia, the in-house practice Masters degree was accredited at higher education level by the New South Wales Department of Education and Training in September 2010.

To be offered in all states from 7 March 2011, the course will consist of a Master of Applied Law (In-house Practice), as well as a Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate providing early exit points.

The new course will be officially launched by Attorney-General Robert McClelland at the ACLA conference in Sydney this Thursday (11 November).
