As you settle down for your post-work drink today, spare a thought for the lawyers patching up their blisters, fending off the chafe and battling the cramps during this weekend's annual Oxfam Trailwalker in Sydney.

The 100 kilometre, 48-hour endurance fundraising event kicked off at 7am this morning with more than 500 teams of four taking to the rugged trail between Brooklyn to Mosman.

This year, 17 teams affiliated with law are taking up the challenge, with Middletons entering an impressive four teams, including The Trailstalkers and Middletons and the Holy Trail.

Henry Davis York, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Blake Dawson, Deloitte and PWC were just some of the other firms which entered teams.

While competition between the teams is customarily fierce - resulting in a serious amount of dollars raised - Lawyers Weekly has awarded the best team name to Blake Dawson's undoubtedly prophetic name, The Movers and Chafers.
