Minter Ellison officially opens its Beijing office today (24 August).

The firm's third office in greater China will be staffed by partner Sam Farrands, with additional fee earner support being provided by Tim Knowles, Andrew Thomson and Kevin Zhou.

"As China's administrative, policy and regulatory hub, Beijing is an important centre," Mark Green, managing partner - international, said. "Having a Minter Ellison office here is both a strategic move and the next logical step for us in China."

Minters first opened in Hong Kong in the 1980s and in Shanghai in 1999.

Allens Arthur Robinson, Blake Dawson and Mallesons Stephen Jaques also have offices in greater China.
