Victorian Supreme Court Justices Philip Mandie and Bernard Bongiorno have both been elevated from the Trial Division of the Supreme Court to positions in the Court of Appeal.
"Justice Mandie and Justice Bongiorno are highly qualified and distinguished members of the Court," Hulls said in a statement.
"During their time on the bench they have displayed a diversity of skills while presiding over some of this state's most complicated trials.
"I know they will continue to make a significant contribution in their new roles in the Court of Appeal."
Justice Mandie, a former leading QC, was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court in 1994 after 25 years of legal practice.
Justice Bongiorno was first appointed to the Supreme Court in 2000. Between 1991 and1994, he served as the Victorian Director of Public Prosecutions.
Bongiorno has practised as a barrister since 1968 and was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1985.
The Justices' elevation to the Court of Appeal comes after the retirement of Justice Murray Kellam and extra Labor Government funding for a new position in the Supreme Court.
