Sparke Helmore veteran Jesse Webb has been appointed as the firm's new national managing partner, effective immediately.

He takes over from John Davis who has headed up the firm for five years.

Webb, 40, has been with the firm for more than 20 years, and as a partner for 10 years.

He was previously the national practice group leader for the firm's personal injury team.

The firm has also appointed Phillip Salem as its new chairman. He succeeds Geoff Pike who held the role for three years.

Both Davis and Pike will return to practice with the firm.
