LEAP launches AI platform to drive access to justice
LEAP Legal Software has launched a world-first AI platform, which will reportedly revolutionise access to legal help for Australians.
LEAP has unveiled its new artificial intelligence (AI) platform, LawConnect, which makes legal information free, seamless and accessible to everyone.
The new LawConnect platform provides free, personalised, and secure legal information by harnessing the power of advanced AI tech as well as experienced lawyers. After the platform generates responses, they are anonymised and sent to an experienced lawyer for review, free of charge.
Consumers can ask LawConnect a specific legal question or detail a problem across all areas of the law, and LawConnect’s AI assistant will ask a series of questions to generate a personalised report containing relevant information tailored to the situation.
Once the information has been provided, the report is then shared with LEAP’s network of legal practitioners for verification – for free – and if a lawyer feels there is a strong case, they can reach out to introduce themselves and offer to provide the support needed.
According to LEAP, this service is the first of its kind to be available in Australia – and soon, around the world.
“We created LawConnect with a belief that legal help should be accessible to everyone. There is a growing need for accessible legal support for Australians, and by combining AI technology with lawyer verification, we’ve developed a powerful platform that meets this demand,” LEAP founder and CEO Christian Beck said.
“LawConnect is helping to break through the main barriers people face when seeking legal help – cost and accessibility. It makes the process of accessing legal help seamless, secure and inclusive for everyone by addressing that first step to solving consumer legal matters – all at no cost.
“By bridging the gap between those seeking legal services and those providing them, LawConnect is working to ensure that justice is not a privilege but a fundamental right available to all. Our mission is to become the largest provider of pro bono legal assistance, ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need.”
LawConnect is available online and is free for all Australians to use.
