A Western Australian pub has been fined $2,000 after 60 law students from the University of Western Australia went on a drunken pub crawl.
According to the rules of the crawl, which were posted on the Blackstone Society's website, the students had to complete the crawl without allowing any alcohol or vomit to hit the ground. The students reportedly had plastic bags tied to their wrists in which they carried their vomit from pub to pub.
As reported by WAtoday.com.au, in a hearing at the Perth Magistrate's Court last week, Magistrate Jeremy Packington - who is a former vice president of Blackstone Society - convicted the pub for allowing indecent behaviour.
The Shed's licensee, Bridget Kenny, maintained that the booking had been taken because staff were told that the crudely named 'R U Barking' pub crawl was a charity event.
