A COLLABORATIVE online resource has been launched by law firm Gilbert + Tobin, which provides information on competition law for nearly 20 Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.

The website, AntitrustAsia.com, was developed in response to an increasing number of organisations conducting business in the Asia-Pacific region.

An interactive map provides information from local competition lawyers on four regions - South East Asia, South Asia, East Asia and Oceania.

A reliable English language translation of competition law, the enforcement agency and competition law articles on each jurisdiction can be found on the website.

Nick Taylor, partner at Gilbert + Tobin, said a number of top firms from the Asia-Pacific region worked together to bring the website together.

"The site showcases legal advisers who have used their local knowledge to provide users with a 'flavour' for the competition law climate and other key issues in their jurisdiction, so it's an invaluable resource for anyone doing business, or planning to do business, in Asia," he said.

Competition law is an emerging area of law in the region, with jurisdictions such as China and Singapore recently implementing a general law.
