I never wanted to be a lawyer, nor did I expect to be, but after five years at Sydney University law school it seemed foolish not to at least dip my toe in and see how it felt. Now my perspective has changed and I am eagerly anticipating specialising in IP.

 
 

I love that AAR is a firm of personalities, where ‘variety of work’ not only means a great and varied range of tasks, clients and issues, but also the chance to do pro bono and charity work, inter-firm sport and marketing.

I was incredibly fortunate to become involved with a massive international trade marks dispute involving Russian clients based in Moscow and legal proceedings all around the world on my first day. From this case alone I’ve already appeared in court, including the High Court, advised clients on a range of issues, performed discovery and negotiated with other major law firms.
