Adelaide Law School teams up with Department of Defence
Kicking off a new partnership, the Adelaide Law School has signed a contract to provide legal education services to the Commonwealth Department of Defence.
In exciting news for the university, legal officers from the Australian Defence Force (ADF) will complete three new postgraduate courses offered at the Adelaide Law School. In announcing this new development, the Law School said it would offer education in military administrative, discipline and operations law.
“This contract reinforces the leading teaching and research already undertaken by the Law School, and in particular the research unit on military law and ethics, in key fields relating to military law and national security law,” the university explained.
The Adelaide Law School currently supervises a number of military and ex-military PhD students and said it would continue to undertake cutting research in the fields of military operations and space law, ADF veterans and the criminal justice system, influence operations and international/domestic law, and operations law and ethics.
