An agreement between a legal information solutions business and a legal software developer has the potential to change the nature of Australian litigation practice in this country, according to organisers.
According to Systematics CEO Ian Chivers, the move makes available litigation support software that is technically simple, suitable for ‘everyday’ litigation and created to suit Australian practice and procedure.
“Until now, available software has required specialist technical support, been expensive or ill-suited to Australian legal procedure,” Chivers said. The company is hoping the move will extend the benefits of technology beyond “mega-matters” to make it also suitable for day-to-day litigation, he said.
