GLOBAL LAW firm Baker & McKenzie has decided to “get glam and gorgeous” in an effort to raise money for research into an effective early detection test for ovarian cancer.
The day culminated in a cocktail party, where one of the world’s pre-eminent gynaecological oncologist and ovarian cancer experts, Professor Neville Hacker was special guest.
Baker & McKenzie’s national coordinator of pro bono and community service programs, Jennifer McVicar, said the firm encouraged everyone to get into the spirit. “Participation in all of the activities is by donation, with all monies raised going to help the GO Fund meet its target of $1 million for research by 2007,” she said.
