LAWYERS AT Gadens will think outside the square and about the natural environment, if nothing else, due to a new art instalment in the firm’s Brisbane office.

Brisbane based photographic artist Martin Smith was appointed to the unique position of artist-in-residence at the law firm, and has since directed staff in a range of art projects and completed his own series of works incorporating aspects of the firm’s contemporary premises.

Smith’s presence over the last six months gave staff the opportunity to reveal their considerable artistic talents, according to managing partner Paul Spiro. The staff’s art will be exhibited in upcoming sessions.

An exhibition of the artist’s works, entitled “…am I missing something”, was held last week.
