POSITIVE BUSINESS activity will continue throughout 2005, according to a majority of those interviewed in a recent study by specialist recruiter Hays Legal.

The study, which surveyed 731 people, shows that a majority of respondents expect business activity to be strong, while over 32 per cent expect it will be favourable for the remainder of the year. 13 per cent expect business activity to fall.

The results are consistent with the strong levels of upcoming projects and work, said Charlotte Abbott, regional director of Hays Legal. “Unemployment is decreasing, interest rates are low, business investment is strong, companies are still expanding and organisations are recruiting heavily, all suggesting the rest of 2005 will continue to be as favourable as the first few weeks have been,” said Abbott.
